Voluntary Alignment has many benefits for patients and your practice alike:

  • Financial Upside

A larger panel of patients will increase the monthly primary care capitation amount (PMPM) in the current and following calendar year. The more patients you voluntarily align, the larger the monthly payments you will receive. Note that you will continue to receive fee-for-service reimbursement for any services rendered to patients until they are aligned the following quarter.

  • Provider Enablement

Solidifying the relationship between PCP and patient that allows for better coordination of care. More patient touchpoints + more preventive care = better outcomes + increased patient satisfaction.

  • Empower Patients

VA will increase patient involvement in their healthcare journey. These patients are more likely to engage with their PCP.
