How does the practice want to receive payments?
To receive monthly capitation payments, first choose between direct deposit or check. Direct deposit payments are processed earlier in the month while checks will arrive closer to mid-month. If you choose to receive payments by check, please go to app.pearlhealth.com, click on Administration at the top, select Payment Setup, and click Select where it says “Check by Mail”. For direct deposit payments, follow the instructions below.
What you need before setting up your payment method:
In order to onboard the bank account you’d like Pearl to deposit funds to, you will need:
Your Pearl Health app credentials (must be a Primary Admin or Financial Admin user)
The login credentials of your financial institution’s online account and access to any additional verification factors (usually a phone number for a code or security Qs)
Have decided which account you’d like funds to flow to (e.g. Checking)
Setting up Direct Deposit
Pearl uses an established financial services vendor called “Plaid” to route funds to your account quickly and securely. Pearl will neither have access to the credentials you enter nor your routing and account number. We transmit via Plaid, which is integrated with a huge network of financial institutions. We do this to support a broader range of banks and increase security of not storing your financial information. Login to the Pearl Health app at https://app.pearlhealth.com/
Click on “Administration” → "Payment Setup" → “Link Account”
Click continue to accept Plaid’s Terms
Choose how you'll link your bank account
Instant - by entering your bank’s online login credentials. Note that instant linking will need to be updated with Pearl if you change your bank account password.
Manual - enter your account and routing numbers. This process may take 1-2 days, depending on your bank.
If applicable, complete any verification factors like getting a text code or answering security questions
Follow the prompts from Plaid to complete the linking process
Confirm the status of your account link is reflected in the Payment Setup area of the Pearl platform. For manual linking, you may need to revisit payment setup to confirm micro deposits from Plaid and complete the linking process
If you need to change your bank account at any time, just add your bank account information via Plaid using the same steps that you used when you first added an account, and your account will update. Your prior account will not be saved.
Note that changing your bank account password will unlink your account from Pearl and you will receive a notification email. Please relink your account in a timely manner to ensure you receive your payment.
